Half of pharmacists think High Court will not reverse cuts

Forty-six per cent of readers believe the pharmacy funding cuts in England will not be affected by the High Court challenge, a C+D poll has revealed.

104 readers out of 228 who responded to a poll, conducted on the C+D website between March 23 and April 3, believe the High Court will not reverse the cuts.

However, 43% predicted that although the cuts would “not fully” be reversed, “we might secure some concessions”.

Only one in 10 expect the case to result in the cuts being reversed completely, the poll revealed.

The High Court heard cases from the Pharmaceutical Services Negotiating Committee and the National Pharmacy Association last month (March 21-23). The judge has not yet reached a decision.
