DH confirms Will Quince as primary care minister
Conservative MP Will Quince has been confirmed as the new primary care minister, taking over from previous incumbent James Morris, the Department of Health and Social Care (DH) has confirmed to C+D.
It is likely – although the DH has not yet confirmed – that Mr Quince's portfolio will cover responsibility for community pharmacy.
C+D has asked the DH to confirm what Mr Quince's responsibilities will entail.

It follows Mr Morris's short tenure as the minister with responsibility for patient safety and primary care – a position he was appointed to in July.
He was ushered into the role following a slew of resignations from cabinet ministers in the lead up to Boris Johnson’s resignation as prime minister in early July.
New Prime Minister Liz Truss appointed longtime ally Thérèse Coffey to health secretary earlier this month.
