“There’s not enough being spent” on community pharmacy, Liberal Democrat leader Ed Davey has warned.

The Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPS) has revealed plans “to seek to register as a charity” and become a royal college.

Pharmacy leaders have revealed that “work to rule” collective action is on the cards for pharmacy if the sector doesn’t get the “right answer” on government funding. 

The pharmacy regulator has said that “there is an excess of places” for trainees – as long as placement providers can “actually make good and deliver on the new requirements” for DPPs.
